This week I am seeing how I can use the Micro:bit without leaving it plugged in to my computer.
It turns out that this is quite easy to do with Microsoft's Make Code since the code is easily downloaded onto your MicroBit and then you can easily use it with the battery pack instead of powering it through the computer.
The Tilt Alarm
For this week's project I chose to do one of the "advanced" Make Code project. This one is called the tilt alarm and the idea is that when someone moves the object you are trying to protect it triggers an alarm.
Here is a video showing how the alarm works to protect my passport.
You can see that it both makes an angry face and creates an alarm noise
The Code
I only had one micro:bit so the radio segment of this code was not active in my project but I decided not to delete because I like the idea that this alarm could be connected to another microbic.
Overall this was a fun project!
