In your blog, reflect on the topics that we discussed this week in class. Which were the most difficult to grasp? Which are you excited to explore more?

This week we used a “nose pole”, "paint buckets", and the "TurnTheColorITouch" script to navigate our games and paint objects new colors. I thought this was a fun new unity skill and thought that it was relatively easy to grasp. There were a few hiccups. I am excited to experiment with this a little more and have made a game with a larger variety of colors which I will add later on in the post. I have also been enjoying finding new sky boxes in the asset store and painting my terrains. I am most interested in creating environments in unity. I enjoy this more than the gameplay itself. I think I get a little frustrated when creating new elements of gameplay because of the back and forth between testing the game and fixing it.

Here is my first attempt at a nose pole unity game using paint buckets.

In the game I created I really enjoyed being able to change colors with our new "TurnTheColorITouch" script. I also enjoyed learning how to use the remote. I think that it would be great to be able to use the remote during my final game and was excited to learn how to use it. I am glad that it works. I did have an issue where if I was not using it for long (5 min or so) it would turn off and I needed to reconnect the bluetooth. This was more of an annoyance than a serious issue.
